Changing Your Screen Settings for High Resolution Displays.

Currently, MacBooks do not automatically rescale text and icons when connecting to a high-resolution screen (4K). As a result, after connecting to the screen, the text and windows on the screen become too small for a user to see.

This can be adjusted by following the steps below.

1. After connecting to the screen, open the Control Centre. It is located in the dropdown bar at the top right-hand side of your screen, next to the date and time.

2. Click the Display button.

3. Select Display Settings

4. Select Built-in Display, then change the text scaling option using the buttons under Use as.
The option annotated below is a good middle ground, but find a fit that best works for you.

4.1. If you need to adjust the display’s resolution you can find that by clicking on the display you wish to adjust and selecting a resolution.
